  The aim of the meeting - in the grant launching meeting all stakeholders including public authorities, municipalities, associations, etc. competent authorities will be informed of the topicality of the theme, objectives and planned project activities of the EEA grant KLIPS.

Presentations prepared by staff involved in the project about project's main objectives and tasks were presented, as well as presentations with information about what has been done till now.

            Juris Aigars welcomed all the participants and opened the workshop with a presentation on the project's objectives and key challenges (Figure 1).

Guest lecturer PhD. Maija Viška (see Figure 2) spoke after Juris Aigars. She introduced seminar participants with her doctoral thesis "Sediment Transport Patterns Along the Latvian Baltic Sea Coast", study conducted before the start of the EEA KLIPS.

Juris Aigars spoke again after Maija Viška's and introduced  participants of the seminar with "Impacts of physical factors on biodiversity in the Baltic Sea coastal reefs", followed by the last presentation by Solvita Strāķe (Figure 3) - "Biodiversity indicators of the Baltic Sea".

After Solvita Strake's presentations Juris Aigars asked guests of the meeting whether they want to share the discussion and a coffee break. Guests replied that they would prefer to combine two meetings  parts and all agree that it would be both more enjoyable and more comfortable to ask individual questions to the presentation authors involved in the project.

 

After coffee-discussion meeting is announced as closed.
